Mat Pilates, based on the original exercises by Joseph Pilates, is a strengthening and lengthening form of exercise, that focuses on your core muscles, while also training your arms and legs.
This practice takes into consideration that you are learning to use your body in new ways and it can be modified to decrease or increase the level of challenge, allowing you to practice at your own pace.
Pilates requires focus and dedication, allowing yourself to slow down and focus on deliberate movements.
Our Mat Pilates’ classes run Mondays at 6pm and Tuesdays at 9:30am in Collingwood, and in Northcote on Thursdays at 7:45am.
