Healing Pelvic Pain (Endometriosis Awareness Month)

Healing Pelvic Pain (Endometriosis Awareness Month)

To mark Endometriosis Awareness Month, join us for an informative and nourishing afternoon designed for women living with endometriosis, persistent pelvic pain, period pain, adenomyosis and other related conditions. Gain evidence-based tools to help you better understand and manage your pain in a safe and supportive space where you are invited to listen, learn, share and reconnect with your body at your own pace.

To begin, naturopath and nutritionist Freya Lawler will explore the complexity of endometriosis, the role of stress, and how diet and lifestyle can significantly impact symptoms. She’ll share actionable tools and practical, holistic strategies to reduce inflammation, regulate pain, and take control of your wellbeing.

Bec Isaacs, yoga teacher and chronic pain advocate, will then lead a 90-minute therapeutic yoga workshop designed specifically for pelvic pain relief. The practice will focus on releasing chronic tension in the hips, pelvis, and lower back—areas that often hold stress and contribute to pain cycles. Through a combination of gentle movement, breathwork, and meditation, you’ll learn how to down regulate your nervous system, increase circulation to the pelvic region, and restore a sense of ease in your body. Bec will also share her own personal experience and give you an opportunity to share and discuss your experience in small groups (sharing is completely optional).

**To support your journey beyond this event, each guest will receive a thoughtfully curated goodie bag filled with items to nourish your pelvic health.**

This event is deeply personal to our founder, Kirra, whose own journey with endometriosis has been one of deep learning, self-advocacy, and healing. After decades seeking answers for her debilitating pain, she finally found relief by weaving together knowledge, support, and embodied practices. It is her heartfelt belief that these tools can offer solace to others walking a similar path. Please bring a notebook for insights and reflection and wear comfortable clothing for movement.

Suitable for all levels, all welcome.

Candlelit Yin with Live Soundscape

Candlelit Yin with Live Soundscape

Experience a nourishing Yin practice to synthesiser sounds performed by Adrien Harris. The studio will be lit purely by organic soy candles.

Adrien Harris (aka Cosmic Sound Explorer) is a Melbourne-based sound artist who explores intergalactic vibrations for the mind, body and soul.

Yin Yoga is an ancient practice that is designed to stretch the body and work into connective fascial tissue and is a balance to the more dynamic Yang practices. A powerfully therapeutic class, Yin is ideal for highly active people – runners, cyclists, regular yoga practitioners - and anyone wanting to release tightness in their body. In a Yin class, floor poses are held for 4-6 minutes, each targeting joint and ligament stress and enabling muscles to soften. In holding poses for longer periods, Yin Yoga cultivates a sense of surrender.

Immerse yourself in a restorative class to unwind and let go. Let the live soundscape take you on a journey to create space for a deeper connection to the self.

Perfect for all levels of experience, even beginners.

WAITLIST ONLY - How Big Is The Yes? with Gwyn Wiliams

We’re thrilled to welcome back the inimitable Gwyn Williams, founder of Zenthai Shiatsu, after his sold out workshops at GV in February. This time, he comes with an invitation to courageous spirits to join him in exploring how to break through and show up to be the fullness of who you are.

In times of chaos and uncertainty, the unconscious response can be to let anxiety, fear and a sense of hopelessness take over. But there is another way. During this workshop, you will unwrap the ways in which we close down to protect ourselves physically and energetically, and learn tools to overcome fear based tendencies. This is a call to not run away, close and protect and instead learn to quieten the mind, see through the veils and befriend all that you are afraid of.

Through yoga asana, focused intention you will learn to open your body energetically and physically. Plus, utilising Chinese medicine based therapies, Gwyn will teach you explorative movements that harness energy meridians to release the chest, ground the legs, and strengthen the arms. With a strengthened connection to self, you will leave the workshop with your hands in the air - passionately ready to bring more meaning into your life.

A renowned international teacher and self-confessed life force fanatic, Gwyn is dedicated to the non-division and heart-opening of all human beings. His passion for alternative therapies and connecting his heart with his hands led him to open the Mt. Ninderry Healing Centre on the Sunshine Coast in 1999. On the surface, Zenthai is a fusion of Zen shiatsu, Thai massage and osteopathic technique, but beneath is an enriched conversation with a vibrant, ever-changing life. An evolution of Gwyn’s hands-on healing modality is Zenthai flow - a rhythmic, fluid yoga asana and chi gung practice involving the 5 elements.

All levels are welcome. Please note this workshop will include partner work.

Keep It Mellow with Live Vibraphone

Keep It Mellow with Live Vibraphone

Sink into a juicy mellow practice accompanied by the ethereal sounds of Live Vibraphone with Anna Morley.

Anna Morley is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer. Her music has been described as ‘an eclectic fusion of electro-acoustic vibes with ambient overtones, woven together by fresh minimal grooves’. The live vibraphone deliver rich layers of dream-like sound.

Keep It Mellow is a 'slow flow' yoga class. It's ideal for those days when you want to cultivate awareness of movement and breath at a steady pace. These classes are centred around not only conditioning the body but improving temperament, discipline and mental focus. Taken at a slower pace than our Vinyasa Flow class, this style is still strong and physically dynamic. The slower transitions between poses encourage mindfulness, resilience and self-compassion.

Keep It Mellow is an excellent option for newer students who are ready to explore their practice beyond our beginner classes.

All levels are welcome.
