We’re welcoming musician Dan Byrne of Cymatic Harmony solo for the first time (you may know him from our Sound Bath events) to take you through a series of healing frequencies and vibrations that are designed to balance your mind, body, and spirit.

Vinyasa Flow Cystic Fibrosis Fundraising Class
May

12:30 PM12:30

Vinyasa Flow Cystic Fibrosis Fundraising Class

We’re proud to support GV teacher Georgia Mort with this important fundraising initiative. May is not just about the cooler autumn weather, it's also the national month dedicated to raising awareness and much needed funds for cystic fibrosis (CF), a genetic disorder that affects thousands of people worldwide. As someone living with CF, Georgia is passionate about rallying support for this condition that impacts individuals and families in profound ways.

During May, people are encouraged to come together to engage in 65 minutes of physical activity in honour of CF. ’65 roses’ is how children around the world are taught to pronounce their incurable, life-shortening disease.

All proceeds from this 65 minute Vinyasa Flow class will go to Cystic Fibrosis Community Care, who provide practical support, advocacy and information to those in VIC and NSW living with CF. By joining together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by CF.

What is Cystic Fibrosis?

Cystic fibrosis is a genetic disease that primarily affects the lungs and digestive system. It causes thick, sticky mucus to build up in the lungs, making it difficult to breathe and increasing the risk of lung infections. Additionally, CF can obstruct the pancreas, preventing digestive enzymes from reaching the intestines to break down food properly, leading to malnutrition and poor growth. Despite one in 25 Australians carrying the defective gene, making cystic fibrosis the most common genetic chronic illness in Australia today, there is very little awareness of the disease. While advancements in treatment have significantly improved the quality of life and life expectancy for individuals with CF, it remains a challenging condition to manage. CF affects each person differently, and some may experience more severe symptoms and complications than others.

Minimum cost for this class is $34, we encourage you to pay more for your spot if you are able to (option available at point of purchase).

BOOK NOW

If you can't make it to the class and still wish to show your support, you can make a donation as part of Georgia’s pledge to Cystic Fibrosis Community Care here. Thank you!

Finding Your True Centre

Does restlessness, too much thinking, insomnia, uncertainty, insecurity, and chaos sound familiar?

When we follow the principles of yin and yang, deep peace saturates our being, and we are flooded with energy and vitality. But when too much yang is present - the hard, the active, the tough - it becomes trapped in our mind, and so do we. In this workshop, you will learn how to move this energy into your centre, activating and mobilising a great sea of vitality. Your newfound harmony will filter out in all directions, clearing the obstacles to peace and allowing your day to be in a non-resistant flow.

This workshop with Gwyn Williams is a stepping stone towards reaching your potential in the highest place, a therapeutic offering that combines philosophic teaching, solo explorative movement, and creative partner work. Find your true centre, free from negative thoughts, past events, and limiting beliefs.

‘A person who lives from their centre can move in any direction’ - Ram Dass.

Candlelit Yin with Live Soundscapes

Experience a nourishing Yin practice to synthesiser sounds performed by Adrien Harris. The studio will be lit purely by organic soy candles.

Adrien Harris (aka Cosmic Sound Explorer) is a Melbourne-based sound artist who explores intergalactic vibrations for the mind, body and soul.

Yin Yoga is an ancient practice that is designed to stretch the body and work into connective fascial tissue and is a balance to the more dynamic Yang practices. A powerfully therapeutic class, Yin is ideal for highly active people – runners, cyclists, regular yoga practitioners - and anyone wanting to release tightness in their body. In a Yin class, floor poses are held for 4-6 minutes, each targeting joint and ligament stress and enabling muscles to soften. In holding poses for longer periods, Yin Yoga cultivates a sense of surrender.

Immerse yourself in a restorative class to unwind and let go. Let the live soundscape take you on a journey to create space for a deeper connection to the self.

Perfect for all levels of experience, even beginners.

Peace Where You Are

Is it possible to accept where we are, while also wanting to be different?

If you have ever struggled with the concept of loving yourself unconditionally because you have such a strong desire to self-improve, you’re not alone. In this introspective and encouraging workshop, integrative psychotherapist and yoga facilitator Zoe Walker will help you to make peace with where you are, without sacrificing your aspirations.

Sitting at the intersection of Eastern philosophy and Western psychology, together we will understand why we feel so confused, and how to balance the fundamental contradiction of self-acceptance and self-improvement.

“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change” - Carl R. Rogers

Please bring a journal and pen.
All levels are welcome.
